Hello guys, I wanted to take the time to discuss the upcoming Mario Galaxy movie that is coming out in few days. The movie seems to be getting wilder and wilder with the surprises that Nintendo keeps announcing. If you work at movie theatre then god bless your soul with how messy and jam pack it going to be at that concession line. So here’s what we know so far.
Different Nintendo Characters
Watching the trailers so far has shown us that this movie doesn’t just have Mario universe characters in it, but other characters from the Nintendo universe. We have seen Pikmin, R.O.B and now Star Fox in the new Mario movie. Now, this could mean that we could see more cameos in this movie than the first one. Many have said that this could be a setup for a smash bros movie, which could be possible, but I think it might be a promotion for a new Star Fox game coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. Now this is not confirm, but according to the Polygon article Nintendo is possibly releasing the new Star Fox in the summer of this year, which could explain the reason for his appearance in the Mario Galaxy movie. I think that he might show up towards the middle to the end of the movie. Also, Kirby might make an appearance since this does deal with space.
Wart is the main villian
Although we see Bowser jr. a lot in the trailers trying to get his dad and be the main villain in the movie, I feel he not the main villain here. Bowser in this one will be more of a comic relief character similar to what he was in the games. Bowser Jr. might be working with someone to free his dad from Mario and Luigi, which could be Wart. If you guys don’t know Wart is the main antagonist in Super Mario Bros 2 released back in 1987. He is a large frog who goal was to take over the dream world of Subcon by using a dream machine, which creates monsters. So what if Wart helps Bowser jr. create these monsters to help aid him on his quest to get his father, but in the meantime Wart wants to take control of the Mushroom Kingdom and other worlds for his own benefit. Are characters that we see in the movie real? Or created by him? He even shown on the poster as well.
Other Theories
Here’s a couple of other theories:
- Princess Peach and Rosalina are sisters that separated at a very young age. There have have been flashbacks where they show a girl with her younger sister describing her blonde with blue eye.
- Wario and Waluigi might appear towards the end of the movie as a secret scene making them the main antagonist in later films,
That a couple that I can think of so far, but what are your thoughts? Movie comes out April 1st.
