Can you believe that we’re already almost in Q2 of 2026 already!? This year is going back fast however, they’re still some games that are suppose to be release later this year. While you guys continue to enjoy playing Resident Evil Requiem, here’s more game that are going to come out later this year!
Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream
Announced on the Nintendo Direct in March 27 of last year Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is a social simulation that allows the player to interact with Miis that live on a remote island. The player can also buy gifts such as clothing, food and decorations that can be helpful for the other player. The game allows you to fully customize the layout and shape of how you want your island to be design giving the player control how the interaction with individuals miis rather than random encounters. Also, they’re more option such as adding on to more style of hair, facial features and ears choices. Additionally, Miis can now be non-binary and can be in a same sex relationship. The game is schedule to be release in April 16 of this year on the Nintendo Switch.
Forza Horizon 6
The next Forza will be an open world racing game set in Japan and will have the largest map in the entire franchise. Similar to the previous games, Forza Horizon 6 will have a weather changing system that reflects the seasons. Players will earn wristbands by completing races and events that will unlock faster cars along the way. Getting a gold wristband grants the player to go to the Legend island, which is a special area that offers unique challenges and exclusive races. On launch day the game will open with a total of 550 cars that can be customized. The cars can also be stored in eight of the garages that will be like fast travel points. Will be available to buy on May 19 on Xbox Series X/S, PC and on PlayStation 5 around this year.
007 First Light
The next installment in the 007 franchise will have an original story that will take inspiration from the novels and stories. This will be an origin story for James Bond featuring him as a 26 year old inexperienced MI6 agent who is tasked with a mission that will grant him 00 status.
Characters like M and Miss Moneypenny will be reimagined to reflect James Bond’s early career and there will be original characters like Bond’s mentor John Greenway, DGSE agent Charlotte Roth, Selina Tan and Bawma. Game will be release on all consoles on May 27.
Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
An action adventure game that allow the player to play as Lego Batman in the Batman universe. The game serve more as a love letter to Batman fans as it features an original story that has reference to other Batman films, comics and cartoons. You can also play as different characters in the Batman universe like Jim Gordon, Batgirl, Nightwing, Robin, Catwoman and Talia al Ghul. Each characters feature unique skills that can be use to solve puzzles. The player can also customize the Batcave and Batmobile as well as collect trophies that can be aqquired throughout the game. Comes out on May 29 on PS5, Window and Xbox Series X/S. The release date for the Nintendo Switch is TBA at the moment.
Phantom Blade Zero
In this action role playing game you play a character name Soul who is an elite assassin that is apart of an organization called The Order. He uses multiple weapons that comprise of blades, cannons, lances, axes, hammers and more. For defensive gameplay blocking and parrying are essential however, some enemy have heavy attacks that require the player to dodge.
Leveling up is through a skill tree system that grants the player upgrades unlocking weapon upgrades and new skills. The game regions are connected, but some areas may be inaccessible unless the player has a weapon that grants them access. The game comes out on PC and PS5 on September 9th.
Marvel’s Wolverine
The long awaited Wolverine game was announced in 2021, which was four years ago. The game development was put on halt due to Insomiac getting hack in 2023. Many of their assets were getting released to the public without their consent causing many games to be put on hold. However, we now have some information about the long await Wolverine game with a trailer that feature additional X-Men characters like Mystique, Omega Red and the Sentinels. The game finally has a release date slated for September 15th on the PS5.
Grand Theft Auto VI
As of typing this the release date has not changed! Grand Theft Auto VI has been a highly anticipated game for awhile and it finally coming out this year (hopefully). The game revolves around a criminal duo in a fictional land called Liberty City. The game poke fun at modern American culture such as social media and influencer culture. The second release trailer is ranked as the highest received showcase trailer of all time surpassing Deadpool and Wolverine. The game is schedule to be release on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19th.

Fable
The next installment in the fable series will follow a character called Albion who discovers heroic powers early in his life. Later in his life a stranger turns his grandmother and the people in the village to stone making him leave to investigate what has happen. Players can free travel across the map to go to key locations. Each choice that the player makes will effect the relationship with non playable characters and the story as well. The game comes out in Q3/Q4 of this year on the PC, Xbox Series X/S and the PlayStation 5.
Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave
There’s not much information about this game beside the trailer that was shown. However, it’s schedule to be release sometime this year on the Nintendo Switch 2.
Halo: Campaign Evolved
Halo: Campaign Evolved is a remake of the first game that came out in 2001. The game uses unreal engine 5 graphic to enhance the gameplay. Some missions were redesigned and alter with gameplay allowing the player to have new movements options and mechanics that reflect the gameplay from future titles. The game includes new missions that were not in the previous game as well. The game is to be released on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 in 2026.
